FAQ's

What do I wear?

In terms of styling I tend to advise my clients to wear something they are comfortable in, maybe your “go to” outfit or just something that looks modern and smart but not too cluttered i.e. lots of colour or accessories. Prints can be distracting to the viewer, so I always advise wearing plain colours. If black and navy are your colours of choice, I would suggest using them as layering colours in jackets and lighten your look with a white or light coloured top or shirt underneath.

What do I bring?

Just yourself, your outfits, shoes and accessories.

I need my hair and makeup done first, any suggestions?

Sure if you prefer not to worry about doing all of this yourself, I work with a very talented hair and makeup artist and all-round nice person, Tammi Hendricks. Tammi specialises in glowing, natural looks that enhance your best features for every age and skin tone. She’ll get you ready with professional polished makeup and hair to compliment your personal brand and charges a flat-fee of $200. You can view more examples of Tammi’s work over on her website.

I hate being in front of the camera, any tips?

It is really important to me to keep my personal branding sessions as relaxed as possible. This allows for your fabulous personailty to shine through and be refelected in your final images. Throughout the session we will have a good old chat, so before you know you will forget there is even a camera in front of you, trust me!

Due to the natural style of my photography I do not conduct any major retouching of profile images. My editing process is focused on correct exposure, composition and cropping to ensure you are portrayed in your best light and truest form.

Will I look like “me” in the final images?

If you are driving, metered parking will be available on Wellington Street and surrounding streets of Chippendale for the duration of your session. If you are arriving via public transport, Central and Redfern train stations are both within 10 minutes walk from the studio.
